The Marines awoke, all moaning and groaning. They had all suffered immense pain. The sight they happened to wake up to, did not help their pain either. The electric laser walls of the Strogg Detention cells eminated a red hue to all of their cells. The Marines scrutinized their surroundings and saw the hacked and bloodied parts of humans who had once occupied these cells and had broke. Dry blood painted the walls, and some of it was fresh.
Strogg walked by, howling in their native tongue. Whatever they were saying could not be discerned. Not that any of the Marines cared. They were stuck within the confines of a Strogg prison cell, awaiting to be tortured, killed, or worse... Stroggified. All the Marines from the ship and Hell Hounds were on this deck, in their respective cell block. All except one.
Meanwhile...
He yelled out in pain as the lightning struck his body. His body jolted from the thousands of volts surging through his very veins. He had been tortured for hours now and still, he had not broken. Yet. Staff Sergeant Hayek had been chained to a board and tortured. He honestly felt like giving up. Giving in to the pain. But something kept him from breaking. Something kept him away from the edge of insanity.
The Strogg released him from his chains and chained together his wrists and walked him to his cell, specialized for him. Away from all other source of humanity. He sat down in the remains of untold comrades who had died before him. He heard the squishing of the flesh, pouring out blood like applying pressure to a wet cloth and the breaking of the frail bones that had been left inside lazilly for eternity. If it was one thing the Strogg were notorious for, it was poor sanitation practices.
The cells containment beam activated and the Strogg left him. He felt alone. Lost. As if there was no hope. Though, something happened within his cell. The containment beam suddenly lost power. He could not explain why. Did God do it? Did the Lord want him to live? He must have. It must have been the Lord Almighty. Though, something much simpler could have been at work. But, this did not play through Shadow's mind.
He slowly stepped out of his cage and looked for some sort of weapon. He found one. His assault rifle had been laid nearby. The Strogg were careless. They had not thought it possible for a human to escape. Well, they were wrong. He picked up his weapon and rounded up the magazines. Shadow had Marines to save. He looked at a readout and the only other detention block was a deck above him. It was up to him to save the Hell Hounds.

"Aw Shit" Hoot mumbled, he felt like the morning after shore leave. Hoot looked at the Strogg soldier and calmly said "Hey Ass munch, I wanna talk to the manager, what kinda operation you running anyway?" Apparently the Strogg didnt appreciate talking, it began to speak to him in its own jibberish langauge, it didnt sound happy. "Hey, are there any humans around I can talk to.... I dont think that Chubbles here is very fond of me"
((OOC: Are there any humans around me?))

((OOC: Yes. All of the Hell Hounds aside from Shadow are within hearing distance of eachother. None of you can do anything until Shadow rescues you. You can only speak to eachother and piss off Strogg.))

"Time is on my side. Yes it is." John grimly sang to himself, taking a quick looking over of the corpse laden cell. He went back to cleaning and sharpening his prized late 20th century Kabar knife. "Oh time is on my side, yes it is." he looked up to see a Strogg looking in on him with contempt. "Whats the matter mate? Don't like music?"

Leon sat with his back against the wall, his sensitive nose taking in the stench of blood and rotten body parts from the surroundings. Evidently, someone had forgotten to call the janitor.
"Time is on my side~" he heard someone say. He recognised the voice as John's.
He heard more Marines talking and pissing off the Strogg, who repeatedly uttered jibberish in a futile attempt to silence them. This continued for quite a while, until one of the Strogg stood outside his door, and looked at his comrades as if he had found an interesting specimen, one that did not talk like the others.
Two others gathered, pointing at Leon as if he were something to laugh at. He could not be bothered by them; his head was splitting in half as it was, from the massive headache.
He looked up at them, staring straight into their faces. He did not so much as twitch. They backed away momentarily as they stared into the cold, icy eyes he possessed, dyed red by the containment barrier, before regaining their composure.
They seemed like they were itching for a fight. If they came up to him for one, they were asking for trouble. He would not get away unscathed, but he would certainly take them all out, at the very least.

John continued to sing grimly in defiance.
"When you were young and your heart was an open book You used to say live and let live
*Sigh.*
you know you did you know you did you know you did
But if this ever changin in which we live in Makes you give in and cry...
*Slight pause*
Say live and let die Live and let die..."
John felt around his pockets hoping to find a flask or at least some rations. No joy. He looked around the cell only to be amazed to find one. He picked it off of one of the corpse: "Cheers mate. Let your memory live on until kidney failure." John tried to take a sip, empty. Luck just didn't seem to be in his job description today.

Hoot heard singing, he never had much of a singin' voice so he decided to taunt the Strogg. No doubt this would prove to be a serious tactical error later on, but until then he would have his fun with the big dumb robot.
"So Chubbles, whats your story man?" The strogg dubed "chubbles" began to speak angerly in its language, Hoot knew that right now it was probably the containment field that kept him alive. "Ohh comon Chubbles, dont be so hard on yourself, sure your mostly machine, but I'll bet that your Smarter than the average lemming. Then again, that aint sayin much." He smirked at the Chubbles, who was probably saying some pretty nasty things to Hoot in Strogg, and said "Wheres the love man? Wheres the love?"

Shadow crept around the upper level looking for strogg his eyes darting around everywhere and moving with silence his eyes were a pure silver and cold, colder then the death that awaited any strogg that stood in the way of him and his team. He had to find them and get them out, if he didn't then they were doomed to die. And Shadow was not about to let that happen. He allowed a grin as a strogg standing guard stood outside his door. He grabbed the strogg's head and broke it's neck and the pipes holding it together. A few more turned a corner and the fighting began, he put them down with headshots and shot open the ventilation them climbed in and ambushed any he found below him finally making it down to his soldiers covered in the blood of his enemies, chubbles was lit up by the hyper blaster Hayek shouldered. "Hello my Hell Hounds!" He yelled then lowered the defensive lasers around them.

Hayek looked around. He had ended up in the wrong cell area. The Hell Hounds and MCSF were no where to be found. He looked at a read-out. He was on a floor directly below them. He checked a map of the ventilation access. None of the ventilation networks lead into that particular detention block. He would have to access it manually. That meant finding the turbo-lift and using it to get to the upperdeck.
Hayek reloaded his Hyper Blaster. He popped out the plasma cell and slammed a new one in, cocking the weapon. He heard the weapon hum. It was reloaded. He then moved out the main door after making sure the passageway was clear of hostility. He had some Marines to save.
Meanwhile...
The Strogg guarding Hoot's cell became angered. He could not understand the odd tongues of this human, but he knew the man was making a mockery of him. For a simple minded Strogg who did not understand such tactics, he became angered. Then 'Chubbles' pressed the activation button. Lightning shot out and struck Hoot. It shocked him for some time before the Strogg guard deactivated the torture device.
Two other Strogg guards did the same with Private Carrick. He yelled out in utter pain. Thousands of volts of electricity surged through his very body. After much begging, it stopped. He fell the floor. The pain he has just experienced had been unbearable. PFC Lee, witnessing both atrocious events, did a deed that had been deemed a rarity.
"Tiu..." He said.
The other Marines did not notice. They were too horrified by this act of torture to pay attention to the young private first class who happened to speak. They were going to die. They all knew it.

"Just can it, Jarhead!" Nordstrom said from another cell.
He was angered. The Marines had failed to protect the scientists. What good were they? They would be dead soon or Stroggified and the Strogg would have their technologies. The Strogg would then have the tools to create sufficient ambushes. To even invade Earth. How could these Marines allow the Strogg to gain control of such things? Those fools!

Krause awoke to a sharp pain in his leg. "Shit!" he yelled. His face cringed. Apparently the Strogg didn't know how to treat a leg wound or didn't want to fix it. "Why don't one of you bastards come over here and fix up my leg? Shit heads. . ." Krause said. He was angry, not because he was in a cell, but because these jackasses, made a cut in his leg and punched his nose. His nose! He touched it and cringed in pain again. "Oh and you assholes broke my nose as well, as soon as I'm out of here, I'm going to shoot you in your God damned heads." he insulted in a pissy tone.
'Just fucking great. Just. Fucking. Great.'

The Strogg nearby grinned and turned on the torture device. Lightning shot out from the small crevices and dots constructed into the walls purposely. The lightning came into contact with his armored body and he began to become suscepted to thousands of volts of electricity. The Strogg had experimented with these techniques long ago with the former occupants of the cells whom did not make it. It was an effective method.

Hayek sighed and walked back out checking a strogg computer quickly trying to find out anything usefull from it... Sadly he couldn't read strogg or find any pictures to make heads or tails of the predicament he was in. After checking the room for any ammo he walked out and crept through the halls yet again, cutting down the completely surprised strogg that stood in his way. "I'm coming boys, sit tight and survive..." He mumbled as yet another strogg fell and he stuck to the shadows of the ship.

Hayek finally found the turbo-lift. He entered it and punched in random buttons until he finally got the lift to ascend to ther upperdeck. The door opened and he immediately went prone as a hail of bullets came streaming in his direction. He quickly and calmly fired his assault rifle, killing Strogg after Strogg. The Marines in the detention block could hear the commotion. Something was going on. Were they being rescued? They all were curious and everyone wanted out of this prison.
The Strogg guards left, shrieking battle cries as they went. Now the Marines were alone, awaiting for their rescuer to arrive. If he arrived.
