The ship neared the hangar of Armageddon. Doctor Nordstrom sent a transmission informing the UAC Space Station Administration that they had arrived. No response. Control Tower was not responding. Something was not right.
"Odd... they're not responding," Nordstrom said, though he shrugged it off, "Probably a communications' malfunction. Happeneds all the time on this station."
For some reason, Hayek was not so sure.
"Could the Strogg have boarded it?" Hayek inquired, hoping his fears were not true.
"No. If the Strogg were to attack, Mother, the space station's artificial intelligence, would send out a distress signal prior to their arrival. I am quite sure it's a communications malfunction."
Shadow nodded, not entirely convinced. But, if Nordstrom said it was a communications failure, he would accept this explanation for now. The station was enormous. It had three rings spinning in a clockwise motion to create a gravitational field. This is how it kept its artificial gravity. Something of a marvel in technology, to say the least. The ship was nearing the hangar entrance. The mission would soon be over.

Elias picked up his chair and sat down. He'd pulled through this all the time. Why was he changing so much now? It wasn't his fault he'd died, atleast he didn't think it was.
"He was a good soldier" He said, attempting to wipe blood off his face, but it didn't work. "You all did well out there. . .Even you boots"
He looked sideways at Nordstrom with his one eye. His hands gribbed his shotgun tighter. "Right. . .A malfunction. .. Everything in this fucking galaxy is a malfunction. . ."

"Hold the ship in orbit of the station for a moment... I think we should wait and try to communicate again in a while... We could be walking into a trap if the AI can't use communications then how can it send out a signal? No we stay in orbit, if you land this thing I will shoot your arms then your legs... And then hand you over to the strogg to experiment with." He said thinking over his former decision.

"No, no, you do not understand. There are two relays. The primary communications relay and the secondary relay. The secondary is to be used ONLY for emergency purposes and is maintained more than the primary, which I find absurd, but that is company policy. If there was an emergency, we would be receiving a distress signal from the secondary relay."

Elias nodded. He was back in "Mission Mode" as some called it. "Damn right Hayek" He said, loading his shotgun back up
"Bullshit don't have to happen if we're careful. We should keep the wounded back for now. . .They shouldn't be put at risk. They'll be safest in the frigate until we're absolutley positive the station is safe,hm?"

"Alright, if you're so paranoid that something is wrong, I will land her in the hangar now and you boys can secure the hangar. Hell, keep your blasted wounded here for all I care. Though, as I told you before, there is no danger. I have been working with the corporation for twenty long years. If there was an emergency, Mother would be broadcasting over the secondary relay. And, she is not." Nordstrom said, becoming aggravated.
He then turned to the lieutenant. He would plead to the man.
"Lieutenant, you're in charge here. What do you suggest? I have control over this operation, technically, but you seem to have your head on your shoulders, unlike these Devil Pups! I see no threat, but it's your call."

"Firstly, call them Devil Pups again and I'll blow your bloody head off right here. Secondly, we go in. I see no problem whatsoever. If I am wrong, I'll take the blame for whatever happeneds. Okay? Now, take us in Nordstrom." The lieutenant said.

Elias was up to the scientist in four long strides. His callused fist connected with the man's jaw, sending him to the floor. The uppercut had split the scientist's lip, and left an instant bruise.
"To hell with your authority and you're fucking coporation!" He said
"You didn't plan on Strogg being there for your Cargo did ya!? No! Don't fucking do this Lieutenant, you know what's right" He said, looking into the LT's eyes with his own eye. Then he kicked the scientist as he tried to get up
"Stay the fuck down there, you damn coward"

"If something goes wrong when we land I will make you wish you were never born, Nordstrom. Land the fuckin box..." He growled and walked to the airlock that would allow them to enter the space station's hangar.

"STAND DOWN, LANCE CORPORAL! This is my fucking call, mate! If I am wrong, you can crucify me! But I am not going to have you brought up for charges of insubordination. It is MY call. Got it? I'm sorry that I have to be an arse about this, but it's how these things must go!" The lieutenant said.

"That's if I'm alive to crucify you LT"
Elias grit his teeth, then spit on the Scientist "Fucking executioner" he said and followed faithfully, if not pissed off, after Hayek
"Nick, we both know this is a bad idea" He said when they were a safe distance away He had his shotgun at his side. He didn't want to go through those air lock doors, but he knew he would, if even one of those Marines did.
