Drabowski nearly said, "Why the hell do you need us?" but decided against it. He just stood there, taking in his surroundings.

She's here. Elias sighed slowly, trying not to seem relieved. The most beautiful woman he'd ever seen was right infront of him. What was he supposed to do? His voice was grim and raspy due to his injury, healed or not. It would be a permenant problem, but he'd gotten over it as soon as surgery had finished.
Jane. Jane Nighson. That body, her white lab coat seemed to sway in slow motion around her ankles. Was he imagining it? Was he actually happy? He couldn't tell? What was this feeling? They made eye contact, and she gave him a We'll talk later look.

"So what 'classified' stuff is going on here that may or may not kill us?" Hayek asked, "Last time we weren't told of what was going on we were near killed in hell, last time we listened to a scientist... well you get the picture. We'd like to know anything that may want you to bring the two best squads in the SMC."

Jane Nighson, all to himself. He doubted it. Elias gave a mental shrug. Perhaps. Nah. Yes, Elias, yes. Why not? He'd be the obvious choice amongst the rest of them. Wouldn't he? Had he changed so much perhaps she didn't feel as she once did for him. Perhaps she had changed. She still looked the same. No. Wait. She looked better. More mature. More. . ..Beautiful, intriguing.
What he wouldn't have given for that cybernetic eye to have X-ray vision at that moment. That was another thing, wasn't it? What would she think of it? She didn't have to know. . .He could just wear his lucky eye patch the entire time. Yes. That's what he'd do. And he wouldn't talk, his voice was scary enough as it was now, he didn't need to frighten a non-combatant. What was he thinking? He had business, this wasn't just a visit like they'd planned on having. He had a mission to do. But a little nostalgia time wouldn't hurt. . .Would it?

"Nothing of interest, gunnery sergeant. The colony itself was loaned to the Union Aerospace Corporation after an archeological dig was uncovered. We continued digging and have yet to find anything more than information on the species that once inhabited this planet," Jane Nighson said, then looked at him, "I merely requested the Hell Hounds because of your reputation and because I need a case solved."
The doctor's glance went to the young and old eyes of each and every Marine in the room. She had no secrets. Nothing classified to keep in. She was divulging the truth and was not one to lie. She despised lying in every sense. Colonel Westerman entered the room and approached the Marines quickly.
"I would like it, gunnery sergeant, if you did not harass UAC personnel. The reason why you were requested has been spoken off, has it not? We have had several hideous murders occur here on the planet and it is scarying the local population. No one knows who is doing it. The victims were two Marines, one scientist, and a civilian. We believe a rebel group has emerged and is attempting to use terrorism to succeed in controlling the colony. You have been called in to provide extra security and come to the bottom of this stressful situation." The colonel said, his voice grim and dark.

Elias couldn't take his eye off of her. He couldn't focus on anything but her. She seemed to have an aura surrounding her. An aura of enamoration, and he was awed by it. He covered it up well, but he still couldn't help but do study her. What was she thinking? Was she secretley studying him?

"I questioned her I have yet to harass her. Looks like we're detectives now... Alright, I need some information, if this were just a rebel group why strike these 4 specific targets? Who were they and what did they do?" Shadow asked turning his attention to the colonal. "Also, where are we going to be staying?"

Elias was in a dreamlike state. He had already figured out where he'd be staying. Jane's looks solidified his assumption. He simply walked forward, leaving the hangar. He didn't really care for all the detail bull shit that the officers had to go through. He just wanted Jane, he just wanted Jane. He didn't even care about the damn mission. Jane was his mission. She had been for who knew how long. Was he her mission?
He had to stop thinking like that. This wasn't a battle field, it was a connection. The sooner he got that into his head, the easier it would be to enjoy himself with Jane. Enjoy himself. He almost smiled. That was something he hadn't really done in quite some time.

As Hoot was leaning against the drop ship, he pondered the reason why Rhino and the Hellhounds were sent to this damn cold rock when there was a war against the Strogg War machine going on elsewhere. A few murders don't require the 2 best platoons in the galaxy, there had to be another reason.
"So what do you expect us to do? Shoot every questionable civvie in the face? in case you have not noticed, we are Marines, not cops, sir" Hoot said, at this point he was growing tired of all the bullshit he would almost welcome a discharge, but he knew they would never do that after all the shit he helped them accomplish, they would probably settle for an OTH discharge or if he was lucky, an Honorable Discharge.

"You, private, you can shut your trap before I sew it shut myself." The colonel said, his features showing the slightest hint of anger, "Secondly, you are ALL under gag orders. If you keep mentioning anything that happened on Space Station Armageddon, your pay will be forfeited and you will not receive leave for eight months." The colonel said.
"The people who died were Captain Tyson, Company Commander. Sergeant Major Kaddakal, head medic here on the facility. Then assistant director of operations Doctor Paul Feldman and Kyle Pomperson, head of Colonial Affairs on the station." The colonel said, then cleared his throat, "Rhino will share quarters with you. Take the elevator to the third floor. Your gear has already been put there. Now, get out of my sight."

"Wow. He is as nice as a block of cold ice. Definitely gotta take my leave here." Joker said, chuckling.
Lieutenant Morris nodded in agreement. This colonel was a prick and no other word could so accurately describe him as such.
"He's got to have somethin' stuck up his ass." Morris said in agreement, smirking.
Corporal Johann Strauss, whom had been extremely quiet, approached Doctor Nighson with eager eyes. He was not eager to be in the presence of this woman, but of the technology all around them.
"Doctor, if you could allow me access to your technical staff, I may be able to assist you in finding the culprits and assisting in the overall effectiveness in operation of this facility." Strauss said, his eyes showing a glint of childlike innocence unknown to his companions.
"Sure, corporal...?"
"Strauss. I am Corporal Johann Strauss, you have no doubt heard of my accomplishments within the technical and scientific community."
Nighson nodded at the man and then turned her attention to Elias Godchild. She had been stealing glances at him ever since they had arrived. He had definitely matured and was extremely handsome. Attraction was growing within her. Something she had not felt in ages. She was attracted to this Marine and she could almost not deny it. She gave him a look that only be described as 'you'll be in my quarters tonight'. Her attraction grew by the passing seconds. She shook her head and walked away with a quickened pace.

Meyen spit his tobacco in a bottle he had been holding. They were now Police Officers, not Marines. They had to provide security, and then some.
"This is fucking strange." Meyen thought while spitting more tobacco.
In a way, this reminded Meyen of Operation Iraqi Freedom, way back in 2003. After the invasion was done, the Marines thought of themselves more of cops, then Marines. It was ironic how this situation was compared to Iraqi Freedom. Except they weren't killing.

Godchild shouldered past Meyen
"Get used it to it. It's what you're paid to do" he said in his grim, chilling, raspy voice. He didn't like the idea any more than the rest of them, but he wasn't about to complain about it. They were Marines, they did the dirty work, and carried on. This wasn't a boy scout trip where they could bitch about every last thing until they got their way.
Something was going on. It wasn't just a few murders. Everyone knew that. The question was, who was next? It was something big he figured. 400 Troops in this colony and they needed extra protection. But it wasn't something that the UAC would know about, he figured. The way he saw it, it was something they DIDN'T know about, and that was why they were so shaken up.
He didn't care. His bones ached, and so did his heart, even his loins. He watched the good doctor Nighson leave. He knew at least one of the colony's inhabitants would be safe tonight.

The colonel had just pissed Hayek off, "I'm gonna get that guy fired or killed mark my words." He growled, "You know what I haven't even spent any of my money since about a year ago. My last leave since the almost day we had." He laughed walking out, he stopped by Elias. "Have fun with the Doctor tonight." He said then walked by going to the Colonel's office.
"Alright, bastard. Take my pay and my leave I've gone longer than that on a single battle field, but you want to yell at me and my men you can go freeze your ass off outside. We're here doing UAC business in the name of the SMC every other bit of fucken shit we've done for them has gotten us captured by strogg and sent to Hell give me one good reason not to be pissed off and ask question." Hayek and pushed past the armed guards and punched one out on his way into the room. "I'm not going until I know what you've uncovered to make that dig so important. You try to move me, I'll be back and I swear to whatever god there may be I will kill you."
