The Marines of Second Squad had little time to prepare upon the arrival of Second Lieutenant Luke Johnson. When the first Strogg entered their fire sector, everyone opened up, cutting it down. More Strogg poured in, taking potshots at anything that moved. The Marines had a tough fight ahead of them.
Warning: Hostile entities identified. Strogg forces onboard the ship. Security teams engaging hostile forces.

"Corporal Meyen, I want you watching our six. I saw a ventilation shaft there, and some Strogg have been known to come out of the ventilation." Second Lieutenant Johnson commanded.
The last thing they needed was to be flanked from the rear. The Strogg were already pouring through the entrance and getting cut down. It seemed like there was an infinite amount of Strogg being thrown at them.
"Shadow, this is Johnson. I need a SITREP. Over." The lieutenant said into the communications.
He wanted to make sure everyone was alive and that everything was running smoothly.
"Godchild, be prepared to run through the horde and head to First Squad's position. Either squad could have injured. So, be ready to be mobile!" The lieutenant yelled over the noise of combat.

Hoot relaxed he began to see himself but not with his own eyes. It was strange to him; he quieted up, he began to run on autopilot so to speak. He was in a state of zen-no-thought, anything that was un-human and within his field of view would probably have a few hot pieces of led in it's skull before it could say "Ohh shit". The strogg crashed through the door, he began to fire single shots, every head shot downing one of those metal bastards.
Even with bullets snapping and hissing around him he remained calm, firing as if none of the Strogg knew he was there. Hoot kept on firing until he heard a 'click' from his Scoped AR. He almost instantly had the empty mag out of the rifle and a fresh one in. He began to fire single shots again.
((OOC: I will still post, just like the idea of a sniper in the zen-no-thought state))

The voice of Private Krause blared over the communications. Mr. Death's head shot up from the sights of his rifle. A fellow Marine had basically just called his name. He was about to arise when he heard the message from Shadow following the previous message.
The situation had just gotten worse. One Marine dead. And a damned good one. And it would seem more were to come.

A lance of pain broke Hoot's concentration. His right forearm was hit, a nail was sticking out and looked particularly gruesome. Then Hoot caught movement out of the corner of his eye. It was a Grunt. "Aw Shit..... Yo Death, im wounded and in about 30 seconds im gonna have my skull caved in." Hoot flipped the selector switch to "full auto", rolled around and unloaded a magazine on the beast. It began to charge faster. Hoot reloaded but didnt have time to bring the gun up, the Grunt didnt stop, it just brought it's fist out and was going to do a running puch on him. At the last second he ducked behind a small cargo container and the beast slid past in a comical fasion. He brought the gun up and aimed at the creature's neck. He was looking for a small breach in the armor that allowed the monster to look around.
He pulled the trigger once and felt a satisfying tap on his shoulder. He watching the creature slipping around with blood literally flying out of the lines inbetween the armor pieces.

Mr. Death ran over to Hoot's position and began working on him. He needed to help this man fast. He was not critically wounded, but if he did not get him patched up enough to be able to defend himself properly, he would. Godchild did what he was trained to do, save lives.

Suddenly... all of the Strogg pulled back. They were gone within an instant. The bodies began to disappear, as per normal. Something was up. Then, the warning the Marines dreaded to hear came over the intercom. It was Nordstrom.
"All personnel, we have been caught in the Strogg Destroyer's tractor beam. We are about to connect to their ship. I repeat, we are about to be captured. Over."
Before the Marines or anyone could get on the communications, the ship shook with immense force. The lieutenant and the squad were knocked over instantly. All went black. Darkness consumed them all. Unconsciousness ensued.
