Turn 4: The Siege Through Hell

[Cartwright]

((OOC: Dire, your weapon is an assault rifle. In the Space Marine Corps, they have specially designed the assault rifle to act as both an assault weapon and a weapon for sniping. Now, your can come with a specific modification such as a bi-pod, but it's not a sniper rifle as you called it. Just letting you know.))

[Matt]

Meyen heard something near the door and aimed his rifle at it. Luckly it was Godchild.
Hes been needing him for a while, but knew he was busy patching up Marines, so didnt call for him.

"Hey Godchild, nice to see you now fall in on me." Meyen said

Meyen then clicked his COMM link to First Squad. " First squad this is Meyen, need a status report over." Meyen said over the radio.

[Mr. Death]

Godchild coughed up more blood onto the floor but ignored it. He lit a cigarrette up and gathered himself, then hobbled up the remaining stairs.

"You're hurt, sit your ass down. . .You won't last long like this" He said shaking his head
"Jesus. . .Who the fuck patched you up? A damn amputee could've done a better job" He laughed and looked at his two missing fingers, then winked with his one eye at Meyen.
"Hold still"

He took out his knife and stabbed it into the wound, prying the nail out. Then he took a metal tube out and stabbed it into the wound, it filled up with orange foam, sealing the wound, then he put a bandage over it and gave him an extra shot of morphine and adrenaline.

"Stay with me Corporal. . . We aint out of this yet, and I'll be damned if I have to car-" He coughed some more, letting the blood and spittle drip from his gaping mouth
"If I have to carry you out of here on my back. . .Focus"

[Matt]

"Looks like your not so good your self Godchild hahaha. Thanks for the adrenaline and the morphine, i needed it, it was wearing off." Meyen said.

"Alright Marines lets clear out the rest of this floor" Meyen said.

Second squad was moving through rooms and clearing them, Meyen was point. Godchild Was picking through supplies. Meyen knew it was like christmas for him, he can see it in his face. The Marines were now clearing the last rooms when Meyen came up to a closed door probably leading to another room. He kicked it open and there were several Strogg firing out the windows at fellow Marines. There were 5 soldiers and two berserkers.

"Light'em up! Get Some" Meyen said while firing his assault rifle.

His squad soon followed suit. The Strogg soldiers were torn apart. One was literally cut in half by the overwhelming firepower of his Marines. The berserkers were also killed in quick sucsession, but one almost got to the squad when it charged. It soon was eliminated sliding to the feet of Meyen. He stomped on its skull. That was the last room of the floor and they had to move.

" Bastards. Lets go up to the next floor Marines. Stay frosty" Meyen said.

[Dire Wolf]

Hoot looked in satisfaction at the twisted carcases of the Strogg,
he uttered "butchering bastard's" before preceding to the next floor of the hospital with 2nd.


(OOC: My bad, I thought that I was using the sniper rifle. Im really more of a designated marksman, understood.)

When Second Squad opened the door to the next floor, Meyen cursed at himself. He had regretted opening the door. It had made a loud screaching sounds and everyone Strogg soldier on the floor heard it. The squad quickly ran out of the doorway and took cover as Strogg charged. They opened fire, cutting down Strogg as they came. But more were coming. A bullet impacted Nightengail in the leg. He fell to the floor in pain. He had to work on himself now, there was no other choice and started with the more serious wound, the nail.

A bullet impacted Hoot as well, hitting him in the arm. Luckily, his armor absorbed the blow and no injury was sustained. He kept firing into the hordes, forgetting about perfect headshots. He fired full automatic and hoped to eliminate as many Strogg as possible.

Meanwhile, First Squad reached the medical wards and began searching the rooms. To their despair, they found the remains of the doctors and nurses, strewn across the floors. Blood painted the white walls, some of it fresh. The Marines halted at one door and opened it slowly. They found a new Strogg hovering over the corpse of a nurse. It had no legs, it had a hover device bullet into the bottom of its torso when its pelvic region should have began. The light emitting from the hover machine was green. It turned, registering their presence. Its stomach was poorly sewn together and the Marines could vaguely see a part of its intestines. It had a rebreather over its mouth and no hair. Its right arm was a needle and its left arm bore two scapels on it. Two robotic arms were built into its back. One was a saw, obviously for cutting things. Another, was what looked like another needle with some type of vile of green liquid, possibly poison.

Hayek immediately knew what it was.

"Strogg Scientist! Kill it, now! And stay away from it, it CAN kill you and that vile can be dropped. It's full of toxic gas that is invisible to the naked eye!" He said, aiming his weapon at the monstrosity that had once been a human.

<Actions>

[Matt]

'They just keep on coming' Meyen thought.

"Hold your ground, keep fighting!" Meyen screamed.

Second squad was under heavy fire, there must of been at least a whole platoon of Strogg on that floor. He noticed several body parts in the room where the Strogg were in. They were definatley human, probably doctors and nurses.

"Frag out!" Meyen yelled.
And he threw the frag grenade in the room occupied by the Strogg. Its blew up and after it was very quiet.

"Move in Marines!" Meyen said to his squad.

There was some stragglers on the floor, Hoot took care of them.

[Cartwright]

More Strogg appeared from the other upperfloors and began attacking. A Strogg Grunt at a great distance fired its shoulder-mounted nail gun, striking Hoot in the leg. The nail lodged into his armor, though did not reach his flesh. He was lucky once again and merely plucked the nail out of armor and kept firing. Meyen blindfired, trying not to get hit.

Hayek quickly dispatched the scientist and back away from the room as he waited for the gas to dissipate and leave. How could the strogg have done all this so fast... And have slipped through all the human forces around the systems... He sighed and walked back into the room guessing the gas was gone his gone raised. "Keep moving soldiers..." He muttered and walked on he wanted to have another platoon drop down soon to relieve some of the younger Hell Hounds boot camp can't train you for some of this shit...

[Cartwright]

"Sergeant Hayek, this is command. You have Strogg Fliers and Gunships inbound on the hospital. Evacuate now. A drop-ship has been dispatched and will land on the roof. You are to high-tail it up there before Strogg air support arrives, or you're cooked. Good luck. Command, out."

[Matt]

"Shit, Second squad, we need to book it upstairs to the roof. Theres a friendly dropship inbound to the roof., Strogg air support is on its way to blow us all to hell!" Meyen yelled.

"Why God why?" Meyen whispered to himself.

He was frusturated about this situation, all he wanted to do was clear the Hospital and finish the mission, but something always stands in the way.

[Shadow]

Mean while first squad was hauling ass to get upstairs and taking the stairs! Shooting up everything that got in the way with the sergeant taking point. "Whatever you guys do don't trip while on the stairs!!!"

[Matt]

Second Squad was moving a little bit slower up the stairs because of Godchild being wounded in the leg. So Meyen picked up Godchild and carried him up the stairs having Hoot take point and Hudson watching their six. The squad encountered resistance on the way up but Hoot and Godchild took care of that. Good thing Godchild was using his side arm while Meyen was carrying him. They were almost to the roof, so Meyen radioed First Squad.

"First squad this is Second, are you guys almost to the roof? Over." Meyen said.

[Shadow]

"We're almost there! Just a couple more floors!" He replied over his com the sound of stopping boots could be heard in the stairwell as well as spontaneous gunfire.

[Matt]

"Roger, same here." Meyen said while turning off his COMM.

"Second Squad were almost there keep pushing!" Meyen yelled

After about a minuet or so they finally reached the roof. They could see First squad on the other side, and Strogg between both of them.

"Hoot pick off those remaining Strogg, and be carefull, friendly's are on the other side." Meyen said while setting down Godchild.

Meyen turned on his COMM.

"This is Meyen, we see you Sergeant." Meyen said calmly.
