Meyen was done playing cards, he needed to clean his rifle. Well his personel rifle was somewhere else at the moment, so he was using a dead Marines rifle from earlier. He walked over where Lee was and sat down next to him.
"Sup Lee." Meyen said.
The Sergeant got to work and started cleaning his rifle.

Leon glanced over at Meyen and stared at him. He only nodded at him and returned to cleaning his rifle. He was not the talkative type and he never really would. He had heard some people gossiping that he did not know English, which would have made it impossible for him to join as all those who join the Space Military MUST know English. He simply did not talk much. He did not like talking at all. Though, he would humor the sergeant.
"Hi."
It was as simply as that. A simple greeting and then returning to the cleaning of his weapon, which he was almost finished with. After finishing with his rifle, he arose and walked away. He would go get some chow before treating the entire platoon to Full Metal Jacket, an ancient movie that all Marines still viewed today. And it was one of his favorite movies, in all honesty.

"Good enough PFC." Meyen whispered to himself.
He finished up and put his rifle away. He needed to eat and was gunna go see ''Full Metal Jacket'' with the platoon, he always enjoyed that movie. Better than Transformers 5 in his opinion.
((OOC: Cartwright, do we have our personel gear, weapons, ect. Was just wondering.))

The Marines all gathered in the television area and sat down in metal chairs. Though uncomfortable, no one complained. Their discomfort was relieved with the viewing of a classic and yet ancient movie, Full Metal Jacket. Leon Lee had popped the video in for their entertainment. Most of the Marines laughed at the opening scenes, while being reminded of Boot Camp for all them. They all burst out laughing as Gunny Hartman went around the squadbay insulting the various recruits he decided to pick out above the rest.
The Marines then went on to playing numerous board games and Hoot, instilling into his humorous nature, put Battleship on the table for everyone to play. He and Jones began playing it. The Marines would laugh when one would exclaim, "You sunk my battleship!". Meyen finished cleaning his rifle and continued to smoke his cigarette. Godchild was with Tomala still, both had trays of chow.
New occupants walked into the tent. It was the group of Force Recon Marines that had basically saved their lives back on Draconis. The Marines greeted them wholeheartedly. They joined in the on the games and the platoon commander of Force Recon, Gunnery Sergeant Martinez, arose.
"Hell Hounds, may I say it's excellent to see you all again. I see some new faces and some missing. For any losses you may have suffered, you have my condolensces. My team is going to be providing support for you, including calling in fire support when needed. Air support, artillery, and other support options will be available to you. I hope you will all use them accordingly." The Gunny said.
After awhile, the boys from Recon left. Once the men left, the Marines continued to relax. They had until 0600 to relax, then they would be on the drop-ship and the new operation would begin at 0630.

Jones suddenly jumped up while in the middle of their game. "NO! YOU SUNK MY BIG SHIP! AH!" She yelled. That was it, she had practicly lost the game, she had only sunk one of his ships, while she only had one left. Mabey she just wasn't good at this game... Suddenly, she toppled over and the table and game flipped through the air. Had someone just pulled her chair out from under her?

"Jay, you awright?" Hoot inquired, looking at her with concern.

((alright, now that getting annoying lolz>.<)) "Fine," Jones gumbled. She looked around as she sat there on the floor. Had someone pulled her chair out from under her? Or was she just clumsy? Most likely the latter.

Shadow laughed and watched the group, they seemed more relaxed now than when on R&R...

Meyen sat there, observing his fellow Marines. They were a bonded platoon, a family. Excluding the boots, they still had to be with the platoon much longer, in Meyen's opinion. It seemed to him they were just tagging along. He put out his cigarette, and sat on a chair quietly, observing.

Tomala said, '' Hey Godchild so how you feel while all that going on a couple hours ago. Wounded men dying men fight for survival? It was all pretty surreal to me in a way I wonder if they would of survived without us medics.'' Tomala was just wondering what Godchild was thinking about the past situation.

Lieutenant Sharpton noticed that Godchild's BDU's were too baggy. "Godchild, you need to get those BDU's replaced. I'll send a requisition for some new ones."
He walked out of the room, off to order some new BDU's

The Marines had an hour left before the operation was to be complete. Godchild had received his new BDU's and the platoon was now in a large briefing room. General Harper was in the room, going over the information with them.
"Hell Hounds, the operation you are about to partake in will be codenamed Operation Katrina. When the call-sign "Katrina" is given, the operation will begin. Kilo-Two Seven, carrying Chalk One will land in a courtyard near the city hall. Your job will be to infiltrate the city hall from the front. Kilo-Two-Eight, carrying Chalk Two will land on the roof of the building. Second squad will infiltrate via the roof."
"Over twenty other platoons from Alpha and Bravo Companies will partake in this operation. I hope you will be successful in your mission. Force Recon will call in all fire support that is needed for your platoon and other platoons near your AO. A FARP has already been established two blocks from the city hall. If you need ammunition, go there. Your birds are awaiting on the landing pad. Please, look at the holographic image."
A holographic image of Detroit appeared. Then it maximised on the city hall and two circles appeared, text scrolling onto it indicating the two separate landing zones.
"Those are your LZs. The established EX will be in the exterior courtyard that Chalk One secures. I hope you all are prepared for this. Good luck, Jarheads." The general said, then left.
The Marines were were. Well-oiled machines. Frosty. They had received their rest and relaxation and now were anticipating the fight. They wondered whether their new lieutenant would give them any sort of speech.

Lieutenant Sharpton walked up to where the General had been standing. He thought about what he was going to say as he nervously ran his hand through his hair. Then he opened his mouth. "Boys, listen up, I don't know any more about this operation than you do, I was briefed at the same time. Just don't get carried away down there. We need soldiers, not heroes. I hope you all understand that. Just watch eachother's backs, we're all brothers, and I want us all to get out alive. So, before we leave, are there any questions about anything?"

"Er, arn't we brothers and sisters? 'Cuz were not all boys here, sir." It was a little annoying that people excluded the girl part from speeches. Didn't they play a big part too?
