The Marines of First Squad were ready. They had an excellent field of fire set up thanks to the superb leadership of Staff Sergeant Hayek and Sergeant Dunn and nothing would get by them. The doorway opened and Strogg poured in, firing at anything that moved. The Marines opened up, cutting down Strogg after Strogg. The defense of the ship had begun.
Warning: Hostile entities identified. Strogg forces onboard the ship. Security teams engaging hostile forces.

Anton's rifle fired rapidly at the Strogg, making sure not to miss. Of course, it was actually hard to miss a Strogg due to that fact that there were so many. He could see them falling like flies being sprayed with pesticide. Time seemed to move slowly, yet quickly at the same time, if that makes any sense. In the background Sauerkraut could hear magazines being reloaded or guns being fired. Bullets flew past Sauerkraut.
His magazine ran dry after a while of pounding the enemy with gun fire. "Reloading!", he stated grabbing for a magazine from his pouch. He stuck it into the chamber and cocked it. Poking his head up he began another large barrage of shots.

"Keep firing, Marines! Don't let up on the Squibs!" Staff Sergeant Hayek exclaimed, taking expert shots into the skulls of the Strogg.
The battle was becoming hectic, but they could do it. Shadow knew the drill. Put a round in the head, move on to next target, repeat, then reload, take aim, and repeat. It was easy for him to do, being an expert shot. No one knew much about his past aside from a select few who had seen his service record. He wondered if anyone would ever ask him about it. He kicked this thought from his mind and continue to bring red hot death into his enemies cranium's.

"Strogg are assaulting. We are holding our ground. No injured yet. Even the FNG is doin' well." Staff Sergeant Hayek said.
Hayek kept firing his weapon, downing Strogg. They had to keep going. He heard the dreaded click of his weapon and slammed another magazine into the weapon and continued firing.

Leon loaded his assault rifle, popping out from behind cover to rain deadly fire upon the oncoming enemies. Two shots slammed into a Strogg's forehead, ripping the head to little fragments and shreds.
The silent warrior pummelled the enemy hard with gunfire, cool as ice even under pressure. He calmly reloaded his weapon and moved on to the next available targets, pulling the trigger repeatedly to squeeze off short, accurate bursts.
He shot a quick glance at his squad leader, before returning to shooting at the enemy. Dunn seemed somewhat distracted.

Sergeant Dunn popped out of cover and fired his weapon. He downed three Strogg with the oncoming hail of red hot lead. He then moved from his cover position to find a better one. This however, proved to be an ill-advised decision. A Strogg Grunt entered the room with a roar and Dunny had enough time to spin around before a hail of nails impaled him from the stomach. The last nail pierced his neck and he fell to the floor, lifeless.
"NO!!" Private Krause exclaimed and ran to the side of his squad leader.
Krause was blocking the line of fire of Lee. He could not get a clear shot on the Grunt. He would have to move quickly or await until his comrade moved or died. Staff Sergeant Hayek fired on the Strogg, slowing etching towards the distrout private.
"CORPSMAN! WE NEED A FREAKIN' CORPSMAN!" The young Marine proclaimed into his communicator.
Hayek ran over to the Marine and grabbed him by the collar and dragged him into cover. He then got on the communications.
"No! Do not send Mr. Death! I repeat, do not send Death! We have a man down. Confirmed KIA! Sergeant Sam Dunn. Over!" Hayek yelled into his communicator over the gunfire.
PFC Lee now had an excellent shot on the Strogg Grunt. It was time for payback.

The very instant Krause was out of the way, Leon opened fire and downed the Grunt without killing it. He stood over it, kicked its weapon aside and crushed its face hard with his heel, putting two rounds into its broken skull thereafter.
He looked at the body at his feet, his boots and pants covered in blood, and then at Dunn's body. In one of the rare moments when he actually spoke, he decided to a traditional Cantonese swear word. "... Tiu."
With that, he returned to firing at the Strogg.

"Holy... nice job, Iceman!" Hayek said.
Hayek popped up out of cover, firing his weapon. He hoped Krause would snap out of his daze and begin firing once more. The last thing they needed now was to be down yet another gun.

Krause's eyes began to burn with hate. He was full of rage, waiting to be let out in one big explosion, "Die You Söhne von Hündinnen!!!", he cursed in German. He poked his entire body out of the crate and began a fusillade of gun shots upon the Storgg. One came close to Krause, about ready to strike him with it's weapon, but Krause pulled out a combat knife and slitted the neck of the Strogg.
"Das war für Dunn", he screamed in the face of the Strogg and then spit in its face. His first squad leader was now dead, all because of these vile creatures.
OOC:Translations: 1. Die you sons of bitches.
2. That one was for Dunn.

Krause nodded towards Hayek. He knew, as a technician, as well as anyone, he was no good to the squad dead. He ran back to a crate crouched behind it, reloading another clip. He stood up and began taking shots into the Stogg, he meekness was somewhat of a camouflage, due to the fact that he was not seen as easily as say, a six foot tall man.

Krause fired off yet another clip. He expended the forty rounds quickly and heard the dreaded click. Two Strogg Soldiers were rushing towards him. He had little time to make mistakes. He needed to be quick.

"AW, Scheiße.", Krause cursed under his breath. He had no pistol or grenade of any kind. He looked around for anything, anything at all. He came up blank and then pulled out his combat knife in desperation. He swung at one, but it dodged quickly and chuckled at Anton, and the other pulled out its own combat knife. Anton swung at the other one but it dodged, just as the other one. Now he had two to worry about.
They surrounded him, apparently they were going to toy with him. He sighed and charged the one in front of him and lunged. He fell right in front of the Strogg, his movements to fast for it to read, his track skills were coming into play. Anton jabbed the knife into the Strogg's neck. Blood splattered about, it covered Anton's face. He pulled the knife out and let the Strogg fall.
He sighed a deep sigh and then widened his eyes. The other one! He turned quickly seeing the Strogg standing about five inches taller than him. Even before Anton could get his footing correct, the Strogg jabbed its own knife into Krause's leg, ripped the knife out and punched him down. Krause's leg was bleeding onto the floor, now that he was on his stomach. He felt blood drip down from his nose to his mouth. He tasted the mixture of Strogg and his own blood. He was hit hard by that bastard. Krause was so dizzy he almost vomited from the swirling. He could see the the Strogg was coming to finish him off. 'Well, first mission and I'm about to die. . . I'm must be a real piece of shit.' , Krause thought to himself.

Leon observed the second Strogg attack Krause. The moment he saw the knife go through his leg, he fired two shots at the other Strogg before heading over with amazing speed. With a mighty rifle butt to the face he knocked the Strogg off-balance for a crucial moment, in which he took aim at its head and pulled the trigger.
Click.
He showed no expression as he attacked once more, driving his boot into its abdomen and smacking the side of its head downwards with the butt of his rifle. He gave it a hard punch to the face to daze the bastard, and pulled out his knife, holding it like an icepick.
He charged forward, slicing across its neck as he went by, turning around to impale the knife into its back and neck three times each before kicking it aside, resheathing his knife and reloading his rifle.
Just to be sure, he fired upon the body twice, before returning to the fight. He was no corpsman; he would probably do more harm than good to Krause. "Plug the wound," was all he said.
